Owner Barbara Clark’s lifetime of construction experience and building science education led her to develop the Fiberglass PLUS program. Multiple national studies have concluded that duct leakage averages about 20% so it made sense to repair these ducts before covering ducts in 12” of fiberglass. Leaking ducts can also be a source for mold (cold dry air meeting hot humid air causes condensation which creates perfect conditions for mold growth.) It really is hard to imagine but over 20% of your AC could be blowing into your attic.
