Building Performance Services is family-owned by Barbara and her husband Don. They have resided in Vero Beach since 1994.
They both really likes fixing problems in buildings and spend countless hours studying to maintain their many certifications and affiliations. Both take their building science very seriously.
History...
Barbara and Don became acquainted with spray foam insulation in the early 2000's. After spending a life in construction, they felt it was the first "no-brainer product" they had ever seen. They started Healthy Home Insulation in 2004. As Barbara and Don became more educated in building science they expanded the company’s scope of the services and changed the company name to Building Performance Services in 2009.
Their on the job experience and building science education led them to develop the Fiberglass PLUS program. Multiple national studies have concluded that duct leakage averages about 20% so it made sense not to bury that problem in insulation.
Fiberglass PLUS includes ducts tested for leaks with non-toxic theatrical smoke then repaired, and the installation of 13” of blown-in Owens Corning PRO Pink L77 fiberglass. Fiberglass PLUS combines the two most cost efficient energy upgrades you can make to your home.

Since inception, Building Performance Services has specialized in installing insulation in occupied homes with experienced protection and ventilation techniques.
Its proprietary Fiberglass PLUS program includes testing leaking ducts plus before and after photos of the attic.
